Today is the first of two sea days before we arrive in Luanda, Angola. I began my day with the second of Robin Binckes’ talks on “Apartheid Through My Eyes.” This one was even more disturbing than the first, but it is a story that needs to be told. It was eye-opening to learn how he, as a white man, accepted Apartheid when he was younger, but evolved into a lecturer who speaks about its evils today.

Lunch was a welcome diversion, and Tim and I enjoyed the Nacho Station, another special event in the World Cafe. Once again, several officers were recruited to help serve.

I don’t remember what I did the rest of the day, but I’m sure I spent quite a bit of time working on the blog.
