This morning, we arrived in Edinburgh, Scotland. While Tim took a sea day yesterday as I explored the Orkney Islands, I decided that I needed my own sea day today. Therefore, I stayed behind while Tim took the included excursion, “Edinburgh Highlights.” This was the same excursion that we took in 2022, and although I enjoyed it, I also remember how crowded Edinburgh was. This time, I was happy to stay onboard.

It might surprise some people that Tim and I do not always take advantage of every port where we dock. Yes, I would love to visit as many places as possible. However, I find it difficult to be on the go every day. Earlier during the World Cruise, we had many sea days, and I loved them. It was an opportunity to sleep late, recharge my batteries, and simply enjoy the ship. The British Isles segment is very port-intensive, which we have not been used to. Therefore, making our own sea days is necessary.
I can’t remember a single thing I did today, but I certainly enjoyed my time.
